Press Release: OCA-NJ Chapter Condemns Racist Mailer sent to Edison, NJ Residents

The New Jersey Chapter of OCA, (Organization of Chinese Americans); condemns the horrific and condescending mailer that was sent to residents of Edison, NJ. This mailer targeted Asian American School Board candidates, Jerry Shi and Falguni Patel. It is a direct attack against the immigrant communities. We must ensure such acts have no refuge. We look forward to the lawful punishment of such individuals who are bigots and racists.

8 Week Private Group Dance Class for OCA-NJ Members

Attention OCA New Jersey Members and Friends,

Brush off your dance shoes, and get ready to impress at the 2017 OCA NJ Annual Holiday Ball!!

Join us at The Rogers Dance Center for an 8 week private group dance class each Friday from 7-8PM, starting September 15, 2017.

Cost of the 8-Week Group Class is $115.00 per person includes Friday Night Dance Party that starts immediately after class from 8-10PM.

Undecided?? Try out an Introductory Class on Friday, Sept 15. Cost is $15.00 & can be applied toward the $115.00 cost of the 8-Week Group Class should you decide to enroll.

For those who do not want to enroll yet or just wants to join the Friday Night Dance Party, the cost is $10.00 per person for the General Public.

OCA New Jersey Chapter is happy to announce their 2017 Essay Scholarship Application is now available! The Essay Scholarships are open to high school seniors residing in the state of New Jersey.

Awards offered this year:

Robert E. Wone Memorial Scholarship – $2,000 Plus 4 year membership to OCA and complimentary invitation to the OCA-NJ Asian Pacific American Heritage Luncheon through 2021 funded by the Robert E. Wone Family.
Linda Lee Memorial Scholarship – $1,500
Robert E. Wone OCA-NJ Gold Scholarship – $1,000
OCA-New Jersey Chapter Scholarships – funded by members of OCA-NJ – $800 – $300

Scholarships will be awarded at the OCA-NJ Asian American Heritage Luncheon
